Polka Dots

I am thrilled to be sharing my first collab with Wade & Belle. They are responsible for the darling polka dot tights for this week's look. Added to one of my must-have winter clothing accessory. Comfortable + style-conscience. The last two weeks, I have been showcasing a circle skirt (both American Apparel). The cut of this skirt is flattering, and makes me feel confident + sexy without having to wear anything skin tight. Also all about oversized sweaters and feeling cozy. This is my last post of the year in Boston, but will be sharing back home in California. Happy holidays + big joys to come.

Sportswear

I wear my Nikes daily. Whether hussling to class, or training at the gym. The tennis shoe has become a trend staple for months now. (Wearing them with a skirt, boyfriend jeans, or a oversized jacket). I paired my shoes with my favorite vintage Lactose sweater I bought in Echo Park a few years ago. The color is extremely bold, but love to play with the pop of color even during the gloomy winter months. I also played with the silhouette of my extra large Theory trench coat. The extremes are fun to play with during this norm-core phase. Practicality seems to be making its way through fashion trends, and I am totally ok with that. A busy girl never minds running around in a comfortable pair of shoes.

South End

The South End is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Boston. It is easy to be charmed by the fabulous restaurants (check out Pico and The Beehive), local theaters, and brown stone buildings. This floral Nasty Gal dress embraces the warmer fall day. Another favorite is my Nasty Gal jacket. This edgy army jacket has helped me travel all over the world- to Los Angeles to New York to London to Vienna to Berlin etc. It is not difficult to feel grateful when the weather is lovely, the place is beautiful, and the outfit makes me feel confident.

Blackout

I bought this vegan leather jacket while living in London. I never had a leather jacket before, and it soon became my go-to for little bite to any of my outfits. I like this one because of the quilted details on the shoulders, and the roomie pockets on each side. The dress plays with textures, a vegan leather bodice, and chiffon draping. I pair it with chunky chelsea boots, but also love rocking it with a tall Vince Camuto heel seen here. An all black outfit always can make me feel effortlessly cooler. Bare makeups, natural hair or styled with a bold red lip. There will be more all black outfits to come.

Indian Summer

New England weather can be fairly unpredictable. Indian Summer has had its way with Boston. It can be a challenge figuring out what to wear in the morning for a long day of inconsistent weather. I fell in love with this long maxi dress. As the heat lingers this outfit helps me transition to the colder temperatures. Also this jean and leather Free People jacket is the perfect layer, either on or tied around my waist. I spent some time in Harvard Square, and ate dinner at vegan delight Life Alive. It was a reminder to take time out of my daily routine of school/rehearsal and do the other things that make me happy.

Only Need the Boyfriend in Jean

I declare that every woman needs a pair of boyfriend jeans in their closet. Designer, thrift shop or on sale- get a pair. I bought my in London at H&M. They were a staple when I traveled Europe. These pants can be paired with a casual nike running shoe, or look more polished with a some heels. I embraced the fall colors in this look, and actually found some joy in the rainy day. Sneaking onto a rooftop also added some adventure- thats the thing, in my boyfriend jeans I kindof feel effortlessly cool.
