White Hot

When you live in Los Angeles, none of the typical fashion rules apply. An all white ensemble is definitely appropriate  and highly encouraged for those spring heat waves. There is nothing more fresh than a crisp, well-fitted two piece (especially when its in mini-skirt style).
I felt young, sharp, and flirty in this look. The geometric pattern adds just the right amount of cool and the mustard yellow makes this look unforgettable. I like wearing bright colors to contrast against my glory tan skirt.

This jacket is still one of my favorite purchases. The blue color is unique, and can switch out from season to season. In LA, jackets are more statements than practical. Long statement coats seem like a trend that is not dying down. I am into its quick ability to make any look more polished.

We shot at the now famous Bates Motel in Silverlake. The artist, Vincent Lamouroux, white-washed the entire plot of land including the enjoined palm trees and billboards. This site specific art installation has been open to the public since April 2015. The artists inspiration behind "Projection" is his representation of the 'California Dream'- "What it is, What it will become, What it once was". The stark white building against Los Angeles' saturated blue sky makes for an epic backdrop, and a treasure for the neighborhood. Supposedly, the building will be torn down for a developer to create new luxury rentals. Lets dream this does not happen, and this art installation continues to inspire. Or at least survive for all the wannabe fashion bloggers.
