Flower Power

Here it is, my last look for my collab with local brand Lykke Wullf. Picking two of the boldest patterns in the Forever Collection, I love this risky mix of fabrics. It's always a dangerous move to pair to BIG patterns together. But with a specific eye, I think you can blend two prints without it clashing. I am obsessed with this 60's inspired floral print. The pinstripe skirt makes me feel more tomboy that girly. And let's just say trust me, my go-to outfit is a crop top and mini skirt. This combo that makes me feel polished and playful for any outing. Most of the outfits I style are a version of this idea.

Urban Desert

Stoked to be sharing my second look of Lykke Wullf's Forever Collection. The star of this outfit are the Fonda pant. Cropped, and flared these are a playful addition to any wardrobe. They are perfect for running errands in or going bar-trotting with your girl-friends. The pattern is a flattering stripe, in a sky blue tone. You can pair these pants with a cute crop top, and a chunky wedge. Just like the rest of the collection, you'll feel like you belong from a different time while still keeping your feet in 2016. Lastly, I am obsessed with these shoes that I scooped up at surprisingly Target. These wedged booties are from their collab with Dolce Vita, one of my favorite shoe brands. They add a little rock 'n roll to a look, especially with the pointed toe. I love the casual slip on look as well- in CA we are always trying to go thru life with ease and simplicity.

Running away to the desert seems to be a trend in Los Angeles. Almost every week I overhear someone talking about their adventures to Joshua Tree, or their escape to the sunny resorts of Palm Springs. (Especially after last weeks Coachella-babies returned back to reality). Since I am a busy-gal lacking much free time, I am forced to discover my own desert vibes in the city. One part I love about Echo Park is its walkability.  Not many places in LA feel pedestrian friendly. I often allow myself to get lost. I found this cactus paradise in the Angelino Heights neighborhood. This happenstance visual find, makes me most excited about living in this area. There are so many unique treasures to be found. I find myself inspired, and surprised daily by this fascinating urban environment.

Taste of Summer

Things are heating up. No, I am not one of the cool kids headed to Coachella this weekend. But that doesn't mean I can't embrace the summer vibes that are sweeping through SoCal. The temps are rising, the sun is STILL shining, and the time for explore is now. I want to travel. I want to be adventurous. I want to experience things out of the norm or comfort zone.
This season, I am looking forward to cool alternatives to my basic summer uniform. I am a fan of denim cutoffs, simple t-shirt dresses, and flip flops. But isn't there a fresh spin on summer classic style?

That's why I love local Echo Park brand, Lykke Wullf. This is the first post of three looks that I will be sharing from their Forever Collection. Vintage inspired, all made from high quality materials, Lykke Wullf is a Southern California girl's wardrobe dream. Their pieces draw from rugged Americana, vibrant desert landscapes, and timeless fabrics.

This two-piece is perfect to stay cool for the summer. The skirt includes darling pockets in the back and front. The crop top is simple, and airy. It easily becomes a summer staple for any time of day or occasion. The tailored coat, makes me feel like Nancy Sinatra, playful and feminine.

Can't wait to post the other looks from such a dreamy collection. Remember stay local. Support arts and brands that help your community. I love that this brand is crafted only a short walking distant from my house. It feels familiar, embracing the urban yet natural environment that is- Los Angeles.
