Bay-side Bohemian

I am gradually beginning to feel excited for Fall style, as NYFW nears closer. My trip up to the Bay Area seemed like the perfect opportunity to play with new styling ideas for the upcoming season. My style often shifts with each season. Spring + Summer, I love clean lines, pops of pastels and easy fabrics. As it gets colder, I work with richer tones, vibrant patterns, and longer hemlines.
I normally am not drawn to boho looks often- I am not into the 'Coachella girl' costume-vibe. But this maxi by Who What Wear, retains that relaxed feeling without trying so hard. I love the details of the cinched waist, tiered ruffle hem, and black and white pattern. The bohemian print is muted but still stands out. I have boughten a few looks by Who What Wear, and enjoy the high quality product with affordable prices.
This look, I collaborated with Rebels Footwear- a local Los Angeles brand. This brand is all about eccentric styling and renegade charm. I absolutely adore my Eva boot. This boot is the perfect height to make me feel a little extra tall, while still feeling comfortable all day. I explored San Francisco all day in my Rebel boots, and would definitely wear these on days with lots of walking. I travel often and will bringing these shoes for my next adventure.

End of Summer Frock

The Amelia dress by Whimsy + Row, is one of my favorite pieces from their debut sustainable line. Named after the first woman to fly across the Atlantic, this dress is all about ease while conquering your dreams. I love the scoop neck, delicate buttons, and flared fit. The cream color, with pops of neon are natural but bold. The dress is made out of deadstock fabric sourced from Downtown Los Angeles. I paired this dress with this cute and practical sandals I found at Zara (ON SALE). I love a shoe with a little heel, but doesn't require the commitment of sore feet for the day. I kept my accessories simple for this look. I found this simple gold arrow necklace to compliment the lower neck-line. This frock is perfect for the hot end-of-summer nights, just in time squeeze in those last minute adventures before fall nears closer.

On the Town

This look I styled for a casual professional meeting. When you live in California, "business-casual" is more about showing off your personal style. The top and cropped denim are both from Topshop (my #1 department store). I love a distressed pair of jeans with a pair of delicate heels. It feels feminine but not overly polished. The two-toned straw hat was an epic find at Target. It shades my face perfectly, but does not feel to large for my head. This hat is practical while being cute and chic.

I had been scouting for a black backpack for quite awhile. I am constantly on the go (from work, to auditions, to coffee dates). I needed a bag that could handle my busy schedule. That's why I was so stoked to collab with ElleJay Bags. My backpack has a laid back style, while still having a structured look. It is deceivingly big and can hold everything I need for a long day around the city. I added a vintage blue bandana for a touch of Americana style. ElleJay bags are for the free-spirited women who dare to be different, from NYC to LA. Simply they serve ladies from East to West #EastWestEdge!

Romping + Roaming

The constantly blooming Bougvellia florals are one detail of the Los Angeles landscape that consistently takes my breath away. Year round these flowers grow off the sides of buildings, along the freeway, and in secret alley ways. It is the clash of natural + urban beauty that often gets my imagination running. (Especially when plotting potential backdrops for photo shoots.) I found this gorgeous bloom, while going out to dinner with my best friend in the Arts District. I love how in LA, you can turn one corner and discover something so unexpected and so simply beautiful.
This is my second look for my collaboration with Whimsy + Row. The Isabella Romper, is an essential for the city girl. I notice my favorite pieces in my closet are the ones that transition from day to night seamlessly. This romper can simply stand on its own, or easily be styled and accessorized for a specific vibe. Whether its Americana vintage, chic minimalism, or colorful bohemian this romper has the ability to transform into whatever style you choose. I tied my hair up in a messy low bun to highlight the off-the-shoulder neckline. I grabbed a vintage bandana (that I stole from my dad back in college) as a necktie (instead of adding any clunky jewelry or a delicate necklace.) A bandana is always casual and cool. I think this trend has the staying power to outlive the summer months- And I definitely ok with that!
