Farewell 2016

Sequins for New Year's Eve is not that groundbreaking. But for a girl that tends to steer away from sparkle, it is quite fun to wear this feminine detail. When styling for NYE, remember it is a LONG night. Wear shoes you can dance in, layers for the cold, and makeup that doesn't require much touch up. I love combining a luxe skirt, with a easy cozy sweater. I found inspiration from champagne colors for obvious reasons. This mint purse by Rebecca Minkoff is the perfect dose of color for a more neutral palette. Add a swoop of liner for a bold cat eye, and a matte pink lip for a vintage inspired look. My rose gold jewelry is from San Francisco brand Azil Boutique. My favorite piece is the rose gold ring with morganite stone. Rose gold is my go-to metal, for its dreamy and romantic color.
So this NYE, I am not putting too much pressure on one night. It is lovely to dress up, but I am not gonna let the evening be to precious or stressful. Find a look that makes you feel 100, and don't worry about having a PERFECT NIGHT. Whether your with your family, girl gang or love- just go with the flow, and see where the night takes you.
C U LATER 2016. I think almost everyone is ready for a fresh start this year. Yes, this year I am enjoying a casual New Year's Eve, but that doesn't mean I'm not setting some killer goals for 2017. I am excited to make some BIG changes to East West Edge. Including more consistent content, more travel posts, and a website redesign. I created this blog to share my fashion musings and adventures inspired by my time on the East + West coast. Thank you for following along! All I hope is to inspire others, to pursue their dreams full heartedly (no matter how wild or crazy or difficult). Cheers to giving to others. Cheers to being kind to yourself. Cheers to getting drunk off sparkling rose. All of the above. So here is some last minute inspo to start the year on a positive and brave note.
